2 Underwhelming Airdrops Ruin This Week — Insider Roundup #21
Disappointment all around, but we press on!
Hey guys,
The Sei network airdrop was a huge disappointment, where after completing various quests, I only received $15 USD worth of tokens (I think it’s worth even less now).
Cyberconnect’s airdrop was pretty ‘meh’ too, where I sold my tokens off for around $36 USD.
While many people are still angry with Sei, I would still be focusing on the airdrops that require mainnet activities (e.g. LayerZero, StarkNET, zkSync), as the rewards should be higher.
We will win some and lose others, so don’t be discouraged and let’s hope for better returns in upcoming airdrops!
What I did this week
Here are the main activities that I did to potentially qualify for these airdrops:
📝 Waitlist Opportunities
You could earn free gas and special rewards by referring your friends, and you can join this waitlist here.
This is an application that connects your bank and cards with your crypto wallet.
They hinted at a potential reward, so it’s good to sign up if you can.
🧭 Tabi
Tabi has hinted that something could be coming, so you may want to complete the quests on the platform soon.

🟢 ZetaChain
This L1 has recently raised another $27 million, so the airdrop could be ‘huge’.

🟣 zkSync Era
You can check if you qualify for the mint, and there’s no rush to mint it as it expires in a few weeks time.
Layer3 NFT
If you performed any transaction on zkSync, you’re eligible for this NFT mint.

Rabbithole quests
With the expansion to zkSync, you can now complete quests on Rabbithole and claim an NFT.
This includes:
Swapping on the Mute exchange (gas fees ~ $0.70)
Minting USD+ (gas fees ~ $0.60)

🔵 StarkNET
The challenge now requires you to have a net liquidity of at least 0.06 ETH, which means you can’t withdraw and add liquidity like we did previously.
The snapshot for this task will be taken on 23rd August, so you can add it just before the date.
If you have completed the required tasks, don’t forget to claim your NFTs, where you’ll need at least 4 to claim the Legendary NFT.

⚫ LayerZero
You can mint up to 20 NFTs on the Base network, and then send them to other networks, which will be equivalent to a LayerZero transaction.

📺 Ad
Did you know that your airdrop wallet should be kept separate from your normal wallet?
Having all of your funds in the same wallet could expose it to smart contract risks, or even worse, when you lose your seed phrase.
Here’s the combination that I’m using for my funds (referral links included):
Airdrop wallet: Ledger Nano X connected to Metamask
Cold storage wallet for buy and hold funds: Tangem (Get 10% off when you use my link)
I store very little funds in a hot wallet, as those are the most risky. This hack that cost a prominent Twitter influencer resulted in life-changing losses, and you can find my analysis here.
⚫ Linea
If you’d like to grind for the Linea airdrop, this could be a good strategy to do so as there are only 4,000 participants.

📜 Scroll
Scroll has transitioned to the Sepolia testnet, but this campaign is currently on the Goerli testnet for Scroll.
You can still bridge your funds over from Ethereum Goerli using this bridge.

Complete some social campaigns and earn points on QuestN.

Complete the tasks and burn your Venom to get the next NFT.
This requires you to import your seed phrase to the OneArt mobile app and mint an NFT.

🌉 Bridges
If you’ve been completing some Layer3 quests, you most likely would have used the Jumper Exchange bridge along the way, and you can check out how many points you’ve earned.
I’ve received 55 points after transacting using this bridge since May.

💡 Others
There are rumours of an airdrop, so it’ll be good to stake some SOL if you have some lying around in your Solana wallet.
You can complete some new tasks on the opBNB testnet to earn some extra points, similar to the Linea Voyage campaign we did last time.
I’m not aiming for the top leaderboard as it’s too grindy, but I’m looking to complete all the tasks to get the Genesis NFT.
Particle Network has an OAT that you can claim too.
This new Layer-1 project has added quizzes on their platform, which allows you to earn 100 points per day.

They’ve raised $5.1 million in their latest round, and you can deposit some USDC on the Polygon network to earn yield (I’ve deposited 10 USDC in the platform).
🖼️ NFT Mints
This was a bummer too, as all we got were some NFTs to mint…
However, I would still be continuing with maintaining my streak with free mints on the Zora / Base / Optimism networks.

Polyhedra has released the DebugPilot Pandra NFT on the BSC Testnet, which you can bridge over to the opBNB testnet to get 2 new Pandra NFTs.
This is useful in getting the Legendary Pandra King NFT as both NFTs do not cost any real-life funds, and can help you to reach the Legendary tier.

This project mentioned that you could get prizes in the future, so it doesn’t hurt to get in early by minting a boarding pass (free mint, gas fees ~ $0.10 on BSC).

🚀 Galxe OATs
This Web3 course will teach you some of the fundamentals, while you can earn some OATs in the meantime.
The answers are pretty straightforward, and do let me know on Telegram if you are stuck with any of them.
This requires you to complete 3 tasks, where one of them requires you to perform a swap in their wallet.
The slippage is pretty high, I got 10.91 USDC from 11 USDT.
The others involve bridging to Optimism via Stargate, and depositing $10 liquidity in Velodrome.
This could allow you to claim a future Taho airdrop if it does happen, while having the chance to get some of the 100k USD prize pool in OP tokens.
